Jeff came to the OUB in 2008 after receiving a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences and a Masters degree in biology education, both from Cornell University. In addition to advising, Jeff manages the Biology Scholars Program (BSP), a diversity program for Biological Sciences majors. His commitment to serving underserved populations began with volunteer work and later employment with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County. Jeff worked as a Nutrition Program Educator with low-income families (specifically teens) and is honored to continue supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds through BSP. Jeff is the club advisor for the Big Red Smile Project, which helps disadvantaged children in need, and also for Project Inspire, which aims to bring about social change related to biology and medicine. When not at work, Jeff enjoys spending time with family, playing guitar, writing songs, and reading.
