Alexa Slyman ’22

Alexa is concentrating in Animal Physiology with plans to take a gap year before applying medical school after graduation. On campus, she is involved with the Student Assembly, Habitat for Humanity, and Karate Club. Her favorite class is BIOAP 2140: The Biological Basis of Human Reproduction. She likes to play tennis, read, play video games, lift weights, and bake for fun. Last summer, she worked at a hospital and volunteered. This year, Alexa is looking forward to attending BioFest. Her words of encouragement for incoming students: “It gets easier, especially after the first year! Don't be too hard on yourself. Always make time for your hobbies. Don't be afraid to try new things and meet new people; you might find it will be hard not to.”
