Annika Gomez '18

Annika is concentrating in Microbiology with plans to pursue a PhD in Microbiology/Virology after graduation. At Cornell, Annika is co-president of Science Olympiad, is on the synchronized skating team, and has taught classes for Splash. Annika does research for the Perry Lab in Plant-Microbe biology studying viral siRNAs in grapevines. Her favorite classes at Cornell are BIOMI 2900, General Microbiology, and the FWS “The Death of Language.” Annika’s advice to incoming freshman is “Be honest with yourself! Only you can know for sure if you’re in over your head or if you’re really passionate abut something.”
