Gabriella Alexandrou '19

Gabriella is concentrating in Genetics, Genomics, and Development with plans to take a gap year to work and travel before attending medical school to become a spine surgeon. Her favorite class is BIOMG 4870: Human Genomics because it covered a wide variety of topics regarding genomics and encouraged her to think outside the box. On campus, she is also involved as a study group leader for Biology Scholars, CALS tutor, ambassador for the Dyson Business Minor, a member of the Linster lab, and a volunteer at Planned Parenthood. For fun, Gabriella enjoys finding recipes on the internet and trying to make them. Over the summer, she is working on her thesis, studying for the MCAT, and volunteering at Planned Parenthood and Ithaca Free Clinic. Her advice for new students: “Don’t resist change—embrace it!”
