Ije is concentrating in Human Nutrition. After graduation, Ije plans to work in the field of global or public health before enrolling in medical school. Her favorite class at Cornell was NS 2600: Introduction to Global Health. She also does cartilage research in the Bonassas lab. In addition to this, Ije is a member of African Dance Repertoire, Coalition of Pan-African Scholars, Wanawake Wa Wan Cooperative, Urban Blaze Hip Hop Dance Team, and Step Up. She also loves to dance and go to spinning classes. This summer she will be working on a policy study and volunteering with the Global Health Program in Moshi, Tanzania. Her words of advice to incoming freshmen: “Cornell is a big place but there are people to talk to – reach out!”
