Tami Grinberg ’22

Tami is concentrating in Neurobiology & Behavior with plans to take a gap year before applying for medical school. On campus, she is involved with EARS, Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre Health Honors society, Psi Chi Honors Society as well as being the Chabad Vice President. She has previously worked in a psychology lab in the past, and she is currently working in the Tschida lab, which is also in the Psychology department. She also worked in the Vitousek Lab for the past year studying the relationship between gut microbiota diversity and stress tolerance. Tami loves to run and be in nature, eat good food and watch movies. She also loves to travel! She really likes to explore Ithaca by going to festivals in the Ithaca Commons and going to the farmer’s market on the lake. Her favorite classes are BIONB 2220: Introduction to Neuroscience and PSYCH 3250: Adult Psychopathology. Last summer, Tami volunteered as an EMT in Israel. She is originally from Argentina and grew up in Switzerland before coming to Cornell. She is happy to connect with international students who have questions about adapting to Cornell! This upcoming year, Tami is looking forward to in person events like BioFest and meeting her advisees in person. Her words of advice for incoming students are: “ask for help when needed, you are not alone. There are so many people who want to make this transition easier and support you. Cornell is truly amazing, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, and I hope you will feel this way too!”
