My lab is interested in understanding animal regeneration. We focus on a highly regenerative animal, planarian flatworms, which can regenerate entire bodies after amputation. Regeneration relies on an active population of adult stem cells. We use various molecular biology, microscopy, and immunostaining techniques to dissect the responses of stem cells to injury.
