I'm an ecologist primarily studying questions related to the behavior, foraging, and survival of birds. My students work at various scales. Some students engage in intensive field work while others employ global datasets gathered via the Lab of Ornithology’s citizen science initiatives.

Students working towards a senior thesis are encouraged to develop their own research plans. Past students have studied topics ranging from invasive species to breeding behavior, in locations ranging from Ithaca to Peru.
